Last Updated: 1/10/2026

Your privacy is important to us. It is See-M Go's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you through our web application. This policy outlines how we access, use, store, and share user data, including data obtained from Google services.

1. Information We Collect

We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide a service to you. We collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. We also let you know why we're collecting it and how it will be used. The types of information we collect include:

  • Log Data: When you access our service, our servers may automatically log the standard data provided by your web browser, such as your IP address and browser type.
  • Personal Information: We may ask for personal information, such as your name, email, phone number, and payment information. If you participate in our referral program, we collect information on who referred you or whom you referred.
  • Location Data: To provide our ridesharing services, we need to collect precise location data from your device's browser Geolocation API, both when the app is in the foreground and, for drivers, when it is in the background.
  • Google User Data: If you sign in with Google, we access your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. This data is used exclusively to create and manage your See-M Go profile and to provide user-facing features within the app.
  • Third-Party Data: To provide features like the Departure Planner, we collect flight information from services like AirLabs based on the flight numbers you provide. We do not store this data long-term.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and provide you with the features and functionality of the service. This includes:

  • Creating and managing your user account.
  • Connecting riders with drivers.
  • Calculating fares and processing payments.
  • Using location data to show you nearby drivers or ride requests and to track active rides.
  • Communicating with you for service-related purposes, such as ride status updates and receipts.
  • Administering our referral program and applying account credits.
  • Providing features like the Departure Planner and Lifestyle Hub.
  • Improving the safety and security of our users and services.

3. Sharing and Transfer of Information

We do not share any personally identifying information publicly. We only share information with third parties in the following limited circumstances:

  • Between Riders and Drivers: We share necessary information (like your name, photo, rating, and location) between riders and drivers to facilitate a ride.
  • With Service Providers: We share information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf. This includes payment processing with Stripe, identity verification with Checkr, flight data with AirLabs, and cashback offers with Fluz and Rakuten. These partners are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide these services to us. We do not share personally identifiable user data with our gaming partners (FreeToGame, GameMonetize).
  • For Legal Reasons: We may share information with law enforcement or other third parties if we are required to do so by law or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • With Your Consent: We may share information with your consent, such as when you choose to share your trip status with a safety contact.

Your Google user data is used solely to provide and improve the user-facing features of See-M Go. We will not transfer or sell your data to third parties like advertising platforms or data brokers. The use of Google user data is limited to the practices disclosed in this Privacy Policy. No humans are allowed to read your data unless we have your affirmative agreement, for security purposes, to comply with applicable laws, or for internal operations on aggregated and anonymized data.

4. Data Retention and Security

We only retain collected information for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested service and for legitimate business purposes. What data we store, we'll protect within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. Your use of Google user data is limited to the practices disclosed in this Privacy Policy.
